Hospice San Miguel
– Our Club is seeking $ 15,000 USD in direct funding for medical supplies for
this new organization. It is already the largest bilingual program of its kind
in Mexico . Hospice SMA provides end-of-life care and medical services to
Mexicans and foreign residents. FULL FUNDING NEEDED

Casita Linda. Builds safe,
sanitary and inexpensive housing for home ownership utilizing an innovative
construction system and volunteer labor for socio-economically disadvantaged
families living in rural Mexico. Approximately $1500 USD/house. Our Rotary
Club has already supplied funds for the construction of over 4 homes plus
needed construction equipment, but more are needed.
Meaningful volunteer experiences for Rotarians visiting for a day, a week or
more may be arranged. More information can be found at

Water Harvesting
Project - San Miguel Viejo - This is a pilot program at the village of San
Miguel Viejo whose water is contaminated with excessive levels of fluoride.
This project centers on the collection of rain water as a substitute for
contaminated ground water for drinking/cooking needs. The West U Rotary Club
of Houston, Texas has partnered with us in the funding of this matching grant
proposal. If it is successful, other similar water harvesting projects will be
implemented with the help of partner clubs who wish to provide direct funding.
